Thank you for all the Love you gave us. You were such a blessing to your family and all the others that you touched..... Your heart was bigger than life itself. Always concerned about us - knowing when we need a little extra boost- you'd lay your head on our lap or reach up with your front legs to give a hug...We miss you so much and look forward to seeing you again. In the meantime, we fondly remember how good you were to us....and why GOD spelled backwards is DOG. Unconditional love flowed from you like it does from our creator above.

Having fun with Photofunia

I have been absent for a little bit but recently diagnosed with a heart defect. I or should I say MA has reached out to 3 cardiologists- U of Michigan, UCDavis and a local cardiologist. I am on 2 medications and hope to live out my years rather than go into Congestive Heart Failure. I have received lots of extra attention from the family.... yogurt with my meds in the morning and more chicken than usual are personal pluses for me. MA gives me a lot more hugs and I go over to MAs mom and dad's at least 3x a week for extra attention. Actually, as far as I am concerned life is really good. But, it sounds like I could still use your prayers. My next post will provide a little education on my condition. In the meantime, I thought I would post this photo for fun.

Can MAster get me one of these? Maybe it will cure some of my begging.

How about this: a doggie high chair... now I can see what I am begging for.....

20 inches of snow and I gotta go !!

I could not wait to get back inside either.. Try going to the bathroom in 20 inches of snow -- I thought Manhattan, NY pavement was bad.... Needless to say, I was happy to get back in the house in my favorite chair in front of the TV....

NYC is for the Dogs!!!!

I had a great time this weekend at the Hotel Gansevoort in NYC. Here are some initial photos (<--click on the photos link in green) of my trip !!! I am exhausted and will give you all the details this week. The Gansevoort is a great hotel though for us dogs - big Paw Up!!

Don't Chew Sugar Free Gum

One day my Ma's friend Liz left her purse on the floor and out fell some gum. It smelled good so I got a hold of it. Then Ma started chasing me all over the house! I love playing the chasing game. But when she finally got ahold of me, I realized she was not playing. Turns out gum is deadly to dogs. So, she tricked me by giving me milk and peroxide. Before I knew it I was throwing up all over the place. I threw up 3x but I'm here because of it. MA called the poision center and found out what she needed to do to save me!!!

Getting Groomed - Good Dog Shampoos

Not crazy about getting bathed but my Ma makes sure I am always smelling good. What do I use? Metaclean which is a natural healing shampoo that keeps my skin free of rashes and irritations thanks to its ingredients of neem and karanja oil. I hear you can get it at Pet Barn. And to keep me smelling delicious, I get lathered up with Buddywash which is made of lavender and mint.

Mmm Good Stuff to eat

Some of my favorite foods come from a store called Living Ruff in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Here are some of my favs that Ma gives me when she wants to make sure I eat:

• Mike's Stew (Chicken and Carrots or Turkey and Pasta)
• Training Treats (Chicken)

I also love Iams dog bones... but you can get those at any grocery store. And, from the human refrigerator --- I will take watermelon for dessert any day.... But, they only give it to me in moderation and of course, make sure there are not any seeds.

My Blog Name....

Why is my page called Give me Paw. blogspot.com? Well cause whenever my MAster - I'll call her Ma for short or any of the family says give me paw.. that usually means some food for me....!!! (-: It's a little something Ma came up with to teach me a trick. I just go along with it and give her my paw so I can get one of my favorite doggy bones or some table scraps.....
